Stop Carrying What You Were Never Meant to Carry

white flowers

The burden was never yours.

It arrived as moods in the room,

as expectations in the air,

as stories whispered through other lives.

A sensitive heart mistook the weather for its own sky.

So it carried.

Until one quiet moment

when the seeing was clear.

Nothing needed to be fought.

Nothing needed to be explained.

The weight simply returned to where it belonged.

And the heart remembered

its original work:

not to carry the world —

but to remain clear enough

for life to move through.

Not to pick up another story,

but to simply rest in being-

the expansive field of awareness

from which all is seen.
