What It Means to Be the New Human

Perhaps being the New Human is far simpler than we once struggled with.

It is not about becoming more spiritual, more intelligent, more knowledgeable or more powerful.

It is not about being higher than another.

There is no higher or lower here.

It is about being fully present in this human experience with integrity, humility and authenticity.

It is remembering how to be a kind and gentle human in a world that has taught us to compete, grasp, grab, push and shove our way towards something  we believe we need.

For so long humanity has been taught to reach for more.

More possessions. More knowledge. More status. More approval. More love.

As though something essential were missing.

The New Human begins with a different recognition:

Nothing is missing.

From this completeness, all struggle begins to fall away.

There is nothing to prove. Nothing to defend. No one to become. No need to make another smaller in order to feel grander.

Integrity becomes natural because there is no longer a need to betray oneself to belong.

Humility arises because there is no pedestal required.

Authenticity becomes possible because there is no longer a character to perform.

And kindness is no longer weakness.

Gentleness does not mean allowing oneself to be pushed aside.

Care does not mean carrying another.

Love does not require abandoning oneself.

The New Human can say no without hatred and yes without obligation.

We can recognise difference without judgement.

We can meet another human being without deciding whether they are above us or beneath us, awakened or asleep, good or bad.

We simply meet one another.

This is the bridge between the old and the new.

We do not have to force anyone across it.

We do not have to convince, preach or persuade.

We simply live what we have realised and allow others the dignity of their own experience.

And then something extraordinary happens.

Life is recognised as wonderfully ordinary & extraordinary.

Doing the dishes.

Making a cup of tea.

Feeling the sunshine.

Dancing in the rain,

Moving with the clouds,

Merging with the starry sky.

Greeting a stranger.

Sharing a smile.

Caring for another human being.

Nothing is separate,

Nothing needs to become sacred.

It already is.

Perhaps this is what consciousness was recognising all along:

Not an escape from being human, but the experience of being completely here.

Without constant reaching.

Without struggle against what is.

Simply present.

Joyous.

Complete.

The extraordinary experiencing being wonderfully, gloriously ordinary.

And perhaps the New Human is ultimately no grand new species at all.

Perhaps it is the human being who has finally remembered that we do not need to compete for our worth.

We do not need to grasp for our wholeness.

We do not need to become extraordinary.

We can simply be here —

with integrity,

with humility,

with authenticity,

with care and courage.

Simply being a kind expansive being.

The extraordinary experiencing being wonderfully, gloriously ordinary. ❤️☕🦁🌈
